Labour is back to playing property developer

The Taxpayers’ Union says Labour’s latest state housing promise shows the party has learned little.

Taxpayers’ Union spokeswoman, Ella Dickson, said:

“Labour is back to form: promising that politicians can build their way out of the housing crisis.

“Labour’s last stab at KiwiBuild delivered less than 3 percent of its home-building target. In reality, affordable housing means making homes both cheaper to build and cheaper to live in: cut the red tape and stop councils hammering households with ever-higher rates bills.”
