Councils are rushing to lock in Mana Whakahono ā Rohe agreements before the Resource Management Act is replaced.
These agreements influence planning and resource-consent decisions—and cannot be changed or terminated without every party’s consent
On Thursday night, Northland Councillor Davina Smolders was interviewed by Heather du Plessis Allan about the refusal by her own council officials to provide her with information about what is being negotiated in the Far North. Immediately following the interview Jordan Williams discusses the issue with former Auckland Mayor Phil Goff.
