Petition: Say NO to Adrian Orr's digital cash

Adrian Orr-Wellian

Not content with spending millions of dollars on rebranding, sculptures and fighting climate change, Reserve Bank Governor Adrian Orr has decided his latest pet project will be to develop a digital cash.

As the man who has failed to keep inflation in the target band for 37 months in a row, he can't be trusted to develop a digital cash in a cost effective manner, let alone one that is functional, safe and secure from privacy risks.

Tell Adrian Orr to stick to their knitting and focus on their job of getting inflation under control, not ridiculous pet projects that are not a core function of government.

"I call on the Reserve Bank Governor, Adrian Orr, to scrap his proposal to introduce a Government backed New Zealand 'digital cash'."
