Lower Taxes, Less Waste,
More Accountability

Responding to the Green Party's proposed open-ended supermarket price controls, Taxpayers’ Union spokesman James Ross said:

“There are two ways to ration scarce goods like food: prices or queues. The Greens seem determined to give Kiwis a refresher course in what a breadline looks like.”

“New Zealand’s grocery rort is real, but the fix is more competition rather than importing Soviet-lite economics. What right-minded competitor is going to invest in New Zealand with Comrade Swarbrick controlling their prices and margins?”
