Lower Taxes, Less Waste,
More Accountability

Championing Value For Money From Every Tax Dollar

Bayly right to break the Super taboo

Responding to Andrew Bayly’s call to raise the Superannuation age, Taxpayers’ Union spokesperson Tory Relf said:

“Bayly is right to put this on the table. Keeping the age at 65 forever while Super costs keep climbing is not credible.”

“Our Back to Black report found raising the eligibility age to 68 by 2029 would save taxpayers $170 billion by 2065, keeping superannuation sustainable into the future.”

“But it shouldn’t take a departing MP to say it. Super needs an open political debate, not a conspiracy of silence until MPs have nothing left to lose.”
