National and New Zealand First are now supporting Willie Jackson’s so-called ‘Fair Digital News Bargaining Bill’ to bail out failing mainstream media outlets.

This U-turn will undermine trust in our media even more by letting politicians pick winners and, as has happened in Canada, could lead to news being banned completely from platforms like Facebook.

Tell Paul Goldsmith, Christopher Luxon, and Winston Peters that they have got this one wrong and to consign Willie Jackson’s Bill to the political scrapheap.
