If you answered ‘yes’ to the questions above, you could be the perfect candidate for our new role of Database and Donor Communications Assistant as a part of our Auckland office. Responsible for overseeing communications with our donors and members, maintaining the databases and carrying out various administrative tasks contributing to the success of our mission.

With excellent attention to detail and the ability to work at a fast pace, the successful candidate will handle all correspondence relating to a broad range of topics where timing is critical ensuring continued member engagement. Regular database hygiene techniques are also required to ensure our records remain accurate, logical and can be deployed effectively.

To succeed in the role, you will be:

  • Supportive of our mission: you are passionate about championing lower taxes, less waste and more accountability
  • People oriented: you can identify with supporters and you love connecting and communicating with others
  • Exceptional at written communication: you can action effective, engaging communication over an array of topics
  • Super-efficient, organised and nimble: you can handle the influx of enquiries while juggling multiple projects, and prioritising work for the hottest campaign
  • Technology savvy: you have excellent IT skills and experience in database management, are able to pick up new programmes quickly, and have a good understanding of a range of social media platforms
  • Campaign experience: ideally, you will be university qualified, and have some experience working in politics, campaigns, public affairs or community engagement
  • Politically minded: you live and breathe politics and don’t need to be asked to keep abreast of political developments
  • Resilient with a sense of humour: you don’t take the occasional hot-headed email to heart and your diplomacy helps you in your response
