The Taxpayers’ Union says Wellington ratepayers deserve their money back after Deloittecharged $435,000 for a report containing major errors.
Taxpayers’ Union spokesperson Tyler Groenewald said:
“Charging $435,000 for a report, getting the numbers wrong, then refusing to commit to a refund is quite the business model.
“Deloitte used figures from an old edition of our Ratepayers’ Report. We stand by those figures, but they were out of date, and Deloitte never even bothered asking us for the raw data.
“If Deloitte won’t refund the council, they can pay us for doing part of their homework. We’ll happily pass it back to Wellington City Council.”
